“Lovely stay in an ideal location- This cottage is in an ideal location. On the beach with wonderful views of the sunset. Very private. Michael and Grace are perfect hosts. The cottage is well equipped and very cosy. The bedroom arrangement is a little quirky. The rear bedroom has a low ceiling so the bed is on the floor but comfy. The front bedroom is accessed via a loft ladder. Not something we wanted to challenge after a few gin & tonics. Overall a wonderful cottage, lovely location with perfect hosts. We will be returning. Thank you.”~ Kevin August 2023
“Thank you again for the most memorable and incredible stay. We are already trying to get our family members to book your place…and are already dreaming of our return one day. Thank you!”-Kelsey March 2023

“A wild escape – We have the most wonderful stay at Shore Cottage. The weather was absolutely wild but we were cosy and warm watching the waves and the ever changing view. The cottage is perfectly equipped, clean and Micheál was an extremely helpful and kind host. We can’t wait to return.” Elizabeth January 2023
“Thank you Michéal for a wonderful stay at shore Cottage. The house and setting is a slice of heaven. I watched otters, seabirds and a hare visited on several occasions. swam outside the house. Magic!” – Aoife December 2022
“This is a beautiful cottage to relax iin and enjoy the wonderful quiet and views of Connemara. I highly recommend it. The only sounds were the waves and the birds” – Juliet April 2022
“I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot in what I was looking for. I wanted a remote cottage with wifi that could support calls all day long. I worked three days and adventured aroung Connemara for the rest! A short drive into Clifden for supplies, dinner, drinks. The cottage itself was right on its own private shoreline where we saw hares, seals, sea otters each morning as the coffee was being poured. A cosy fire, many books and well reounded tv selection if wanted your fix” – Janet February 2022.
“We returned to Shore Cottage for New Years. Our second stay was as nice as the first, last November. Micheal had the cottage lovely and cosy for our arrival. We were treated to a storm where we could hear the wind, rain, roar of the sea from inside the wonderfully cosy cottage, Our mornings started with a wake up to the sound of the sea and breakfast is enjoyed with stunning views of the ocean from any window you look out. The cottage has every amenity you need and it feels like your home. Errislannon is a beautiful place to walk and the nearby beaches are great. We can’t wait to go back in March” – Susan January 2022
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy and beautifully located cottage. The view on the sea and the hills is amazing. We hope to be back soon 🙂 Vinita October 2021
I have had the most wonderful week in Shore Cottage. I moved my car only twice in 7 days. Its location has to be seen to be believed. Michéal and Grace are exemplary hosts, Michéal on hand to deal with any energy like a broken phone charger at the beginning of the week. The attention to style and detail in the cottage was so spot on. Nothing was forgotten. I’ve planned returned visits. Part of me doesn’t want this Oasis that is Shore Cottage to be discovered as I want it all to myself but that would be selfish! If you need time away as an individual or as a couple I couldn’t recommend shore cottage enough. You won’t be disappointed. I stayed during storms and sunny days and it provided great vistas on each occasion. – Siobhan October 2021
Fabulous little spot and pet friendly too, cottage was beautifully finished with great attention to detail! Our host Micheal was a pleasure to deal with , even greeting us with a home made focaccia bread we will most definitely be returning. Claire& Richard September 2021
I have travelled the length and breath of the west coast of Ireland for many years now trying to find the dream holiday home and now I’ve found it, Shore cottage! Wow! The time we had there was so special, lost for words. The drive in the errislannon road and then up through the two little fields to what unfolds as you approach Shore cottage is just breathtaking, awesome! To the host Micheal and the team that put Shore cottage together thank you from the bottom of my heart for the best holiday we’ve ever had. Ken and Ber September 2021
