Accommodation arranged as follows:
3 bedrooms – 2 doubles, 1 twin & 2 pull-out single beds (only suitable for kids/teenagers) – sleeping upto 8 persons / 1 separate bathroom / 2 Ensuites, 3 balconies

Main front door has an alarm & video entryphone system servicing the first & second floor. Stairs leading to the first & second floor.
On the ground floor there is a large room which offers a gym area with a full wall mirror, TV with Saorview & PlayStation 2, 2 comfy beanbags. There are also 2 single pull-out beds with sleeping bags.
Bathroom with bath and shower overhead, sink unit & WC.
There is a twin bedroom with fitted wardrobe and window overlooking the back of the property.
The ground floor of Quay house is a kids/teenagers or big kids dream! Perfect area to chillax after having a fun filled day or on a rainy day in Connemara.
There is a long narrow hallway with access to the back of the property and utility room. This area is perfect for storing wet gear, golf clubs, buggies etc.
The secure back area of the property has an outdoor tap and hooks which is ideal for washing down wetsuits, storing canoes / dingies etc.
The utility room has a separate washing machine, drier, iron, ironing board and clothes horse.
From the main front door there are stairs leading to the First Floor-
Upon entering the living space you are immediately struck by the natural light and stunning views overlooking Clifden Bay. The main living area comprises of an open plan lounge / dining area and fully equipped kitchen which is a gourmets delight as it has everything one might need to cook the perfect meal.
The kitchen is fully equipped with ample storage cupboards, electric double oven & hob, extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher. There is a window overlooking the patio area to the back of the property. The dining table seats upto 6 guests with 2 slim windows. The living area has 2 couches, coffee table, TV. Sliding doors leading out onto a balcony with patio furniture taking in the spectacular ocean views over the Bay. From the kitchen area there is a door leading to the patio area to the back of the house here you will find seating area and gas BBQ ideal place to dine al fresco.
The large sliding doors in both the living area & master bedroom are cleverly designed to maximise the view and light taking in the every changing views of the 12 bens & Clifden Bay. Both with seating area to enjoy the morning sunrise whilst waking up with a cup of coffee or evening sunset enjoying a glass of wine after exploring all Connemara has to offer.
Stairs leading to the Top Floor:-
Upon entering the Master bedroom the eye is immediately drawn to the spectacular sea view. There is a large sliding wardrobe with mirrors, double bed, TV with Saorview, tiled flooring, ensuite bathroom with separate shower unit, sink unit & WC.
Further double bedroom with window to the back, wardrobe, tiled flooring and ensuite shower room with sink unit & WC.
The exterior of the Clifden Quay has ample parking to the front & side which is shared with the 3 adjoining townhouses. There is a side alley which has a secure gate with a combination lock which leads to the back of the property where there is a large secure storage area.
The townhouses are approx 5 min walk to Clifden Town Centre with its bars, restaurants & shops. There is a Supervalu, Lidl & Aldi, ample Coffee shops, Bakery, Butchers and every Friday there is a fruit & veg stall on the Square. Clifden playground is a stones throw from the townhouse along with a lit-up astro pitch. Clifden Beach is approx 15 mins scenic walk (windy road). There is a great restaurant/bar called ‘The Boat Club’ which is a lovely place to enjoy a drink or bite to eat.
Clifden town ‘the Capital of Connemara’ is oozing history, heritage, culture & traditions of Irish Music and Dance. This vibrant town has an array of shops selling top quality gifts, trinket souvenirs and handmade knits but to name a few! You will also find boutiques, antique shops and art galleries. There are cosy coffee shops, pubs from the genuine ‘quaint-Irish’ to the more trendy where entertainment is plentiful. Whatever your taste in music you will find a selection of traditional, modern music and dance. Clifden has a reputation for the West’s ‘Gourmet Capital’ – for its fine restaurants. Take the kids to the town playground where they can have fun on the swings or have a kick about in the pitch beside it!
A must visit is the ruins of the old D’Arcy mansion, Clifden Castle. Along the Sky Road is a gateway leading to the castle. Once a Gothic Mansion, the D’Arcy’s lived here until 1850 when the estate was sold to the Eyre Family who lived here at intervals until the castle fell into ruin in the early 20th century.
There are many fine festivals to enjoy throughout the year in Connemara. Most full of music, dance, fun, laughter, activities and games for the young and the young-at-heart. The most well known and oldest of all is the Clifden Community Arts Festival which offers a superb range of poetry readings, lectures, recitals, traditional music, concerts and comedy
At the summit of the Sky Road peninsula there is Eyrephort beach at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
For those Rainy Days, the Station House Theatre shows the latest movies throughout the week. The theatre also runs live family friendly shows suitable for all ages throughout the summer season. The Station House Leisure Centre have 3 day and weekly passes available for visitors to purchase, which allow you access to the hotel’s gym, swimming pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi!
Why not visit Dan O’Haras homestead (8 minute drive from Clifden town on the N59); an award winning heritage centre which offers a fascinating glimpse of rural Ireland in the mid-nineteenth century. Visitors can enjoy a carriage ride through the centre and see demonstrations of turf cutting, sheep herding and other traditional tasks.
Explore Connemara on an electric bike which can be hired from All Things Connemara (on Market Street) or take part in a bike tour with Connemara Cycling Tours (also on Market Street)
Clifden Friday Market takes place every Friday on Market Square where you will find a wide variety of producers selling their fresh produce to the general public. Be sure to arrive early, as most of the produce and stalls are gone by noon. There’s a good selection of organic vegetables, homemade breads, pies, herbs, fruits, flowers, plants and some clothing.
Clifden has probably the best fishing waters in Europe. The scenery in this area is spectacular on land and at sea with a great variety of seabirds and wildlife, including seals and dolphins. Approximately, 4km from Clifden Town Centre, you will find a delightful Pitch and Putt course, which is suitable for all ages and a great activity that the whole family will enjoy!

Please note that a €200 security deposit is pre-authorised by credit card 2 to 3 days prior to your arrival, card details are released 3 days after your departure as long as there are no breakages or damage to the property. Please note damage deposits may take up to 10 working days to be released back to the guest depending on the guests bank.
Check-in time is between 4pm & 6pm (If you require a later check-in time please let us know)
Check-out time is 10am on day of departure.
Please note that most restaurants & cafes in the area have free internet access.
