“Once again a very big Thank You to Maire and Seamus, welcoming us with a lovely fire to warm up the cabin, cookies and milk for a cup of tea. Their welcoming attitude made us feel at home in an instant! The cabin has everything you’d need for a stay to explore the region.”-Paul January 2020

“Perfect touch of Ireland-Beautiful property and owners. It is not for someone who is use to the city life. It is very rural and hard to find. The road to the house is hard to navigate but it is Ireland. It is pretty much one lane but side pull-offs. The house is truly Ireland with a breathtaking view. The owners are so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The cottage is very quaint and the view is beautiful with rock walls all around. In the front, across the road, you can see wind turbines (windmills) surrounded by fields of peat. In the back there are old rock barns, grass and rock walls that lead down to a body of water. There is a little garden that the owner even said we could harvest the potatoes growing in it for dinner. If you want a true taste of Ireland this is the place to go. Bring a coat though because it is a little chilly depending when you come. We went in October. I’ll remember our experience forever.”-Colleen October 2019

“Maire went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Close to Galway and the ferries to Inis Mor. Loved it!”-Renee October 2019

5 Stars! This property is a lovely cottage house on a farm in a beautiful area in the highlands west of Galway, just north of Spiddal. The house is perfect, comfortable, with a lovely little fireplace and a beautiful sunset view right out of the bedroom window. The kitchen was well equipped and excellent and the bathroom supports instant hot water, we had everything we needed. The owner met us the day after we arrived and she was incredibly friendly, made sure we had everything we needed. We’d happily stay here again and absolutely loved Spiddal and the surrounding area.”-David&Leah September 2019

“This wonderful old house has been well-maintained and gave us a taste of country living in Ireland. It’s very quiet with beautiful views of the lake, old stone walls, and stables. The garden is a great place to have morning coffee on a sunny day.”-Gayle September 2019

“Joli petit cottage, à deux pas d’un lac que l’on rejoint par un petit chemin. Situé en pleine nature et tranquille, quelques légumes du jardin si l’on veut, du thym pour la cuisine, de la tourbe pour le poêle, des petits murets, des vaches, des ânes et des chevaux à deux pas de la maison… On s’y sent bien. Seamus et Maire, les propriétaires sont des gens adorables, attentionnés et chaleureux. Magnifique séjour dans le Connemara.” – Wilfried August 2019
