Fuschia Lodge enjoys a tranquil setting close to Renvyle House Hotel with lovely views overlooking Rusheenduff Lake and the Atlantic Ocean. This 2 bedroom lodge (sleep 4 guests) and is close to the lake, beach and all of the hotel leisure amenities.

Renvyle House Hotel & Resort is a four star, family owned business which was first opened as a hotel in 1883. Fuschia Lodge is one of four lodges located on the 150 acre estate which includes developed gardens. The hotel is famous for its relaxed easy feeling, the quality of its service and the scenically beautiful setting it occupies.

Guests may use the recreational facilities of the hotel as follows:-

Layout

The Lounge area has two sofas a TV and stove. Firelighters and turf are provided for your arrival.

The Kitchen area has a dining table with bench seating up to 8 guests. A breakfast bar with two bar stools.

Enjoy your morning coffee with the coffee pods provided for the Nespresso machine.

Bedroom 1 is located on the 1st floor and has 1 Double bed, wooden floors and wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 is located on the 1st floor and has 2 single beds, wooden floors and wardrobe

Bathroom 1 is located on the ground floor and has a shower, sink and toilet.

Bathroom 2 is located on the 1st floor and has a bath, sink and toilet.

Tully Cross & Tully Villages

Tully Village derives its name from An Tulach, the hill to the south of Tully Lough. Both villages have a full range of services: filling station, shops, pubs and eateries and are approximately a mile (1.6 KM) apart from each other. Just 3 miles (Approx 5 KM) away is Letterfrack with further pubs, hotels and restaurants.

The Diamond Equestrian Centre is situated in Tully Village. This Riding Centre has something to offer both the novice and the accomplished rider. They provide highly qualified, experienced staff, well schooled horses and ponies, and provide a wide range of treks. The centre offers 1 hour, 2 hour and ½ day rides through rugged, yet breathtaking Connemara landscape with beach, mountain and turf terrain. Picnic lunch rides are also available.

Renvyle Peninsula

Renvyle peninsula is located at the far western edge of Ireland and is a place in which to enjoy the fresh sea air, peace, beauty and closeness of nature. Amidst this alluring landscape, you will find Derryinver Quay and Ballinakill Harbour, one of the loveliest harbours in the world, from where you can enjoy a scenic coastal cruise. The peninsula has been described by Augustus John as “the most beautiful landscape in the world” and it has inspired some renowned works of art by Yeats, Gogarty and Oscar Wilde. A splendid location for the fisherman, hiker, hill – walker, painter and climber! Renvyle is right at the western end of Connemara on the Renvyle Peninsula. This is an area of outstanding scenic beauty, the coastline offering gorgeous views and some exceptionally pretty beaches.

Renvyle Peninsula is steeped in history and archaeological sites. The O’Flaherty Castle which was once home to the Pirate Queen Grace O’Malley.

Renvyle have the cleanest of beaches, beautiful walks along quiet country roads. From Renvyle Point stretching across the west coast is White Strand beach. Here you will find an aquamarine ocean and white sand – great fun day out.

There are so many activities in the area close by including golfing, mountain hiking, beautiful beaches, pony trekking, Oceans Alive Adventure Centre, cycling, traditional music (Teach Ceol), Connemara National Park &, Kylemore Abbey are a must visit.

Letterfrack:

Letterfrack is a quaint small village set in the heart of Connemara in direct vicinity to some of Connemara’s main attractions. It is easily accessible from the capital of Clifden which is just a short ten minute drive away. Letterfrack is located at the foot of the Connemara National Park which creates a sense of atmosphere. There are 3 pubs, a grocery shop, hair-dresser and takeaway in Letterfrack Village. Veldons Seafarer, Cloverfox and The Lodge serve delicious food throughout the day and in the evening time. Don’t forget to make a trip to Avoca! Situated just outside Letterfrack village!

For less experienced walkers and families, the Diamond Hill Trail in the Connemara National Park is well sign-posted and highly accessible and those who make it to the top are rewarded with expansive panoramic vistas across Connemara. There are four trails in Connemara National Park. A must when you visit Connemara. There is also a lovely on-site coffee shop and great playground for the kids.

Kylemore:

Irelands most visited tourist attraction – Set in the dramatic Connemara landscape, Kylemore Abbey is the no. 1 “must-see” attraction in the west of Ireland. The castle was originally built by Mitchell Henry in 1867 as a romantic gift for his beloved wife. In 1920 the Benedictine Community came to Kylemore and Kylemore castle became Kylemore Abbey. The 1000 Kylemore estate is steeped in history with tales of tragedy and romance, engineering initiatives, model farms, royal visits, spirituality and education.
Visit the estate and experience the Victorian atmosphere of the restored rooms of the Abbey, miniature Gothic Church and Head Gardener’s House. There are many nature trails, woodland and lakeshore walks and a children’s play trail waiting to be discovered. Explore the magical 6 acre Victorian walled garden where onyx Victorian verities of flowers and vegetables are grown.

Looking for adventure? Leenane is the place for you! Here you can participate in the following activities:

– Take a cruise along Killary Harbour, Irelands only Fjord!

– Learn how to dive at Scuba Dive West

– Spend the day at The Killary Adventure Centre! Activities on offer include rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, bungee jumps, orienteering, archery, kayaking, sailing, wind-surfing and water-skiing

Leenane is also home to some very lovely pubs and eateries. Here you can also visit the Killary Sheep Farm!

Fuschia Lodge is happy to allow a maximum of 2 dogs to stay at the property.

Please note that a €200 cash security deposit is taken on arrival, as long as there are no breakage’s or damage’s to the property this will be refunded on departure.
