“Summer week in Clifden. Family of 8 including grandparents had a wonderful week in Clifden staying in this great house It had everything we could have wished for with plenty of space for all Very near the town but yet private and peaceful”- Susan August 2018
“Beautiful holiday home in Clifden. Location is great, only ten minutes walk to the town centre, set on top of a hill with lovely views over Clifden. What sets this home apart is the space and luxury. This is an ultra modern home, with huge spaces, including utility areas, bedrooms, and a wonderful kitchen. The owners live in this property themselves for 10 months of the year and this differentiates Dooneen from other typical rental properties. The design, and personal touches around the home are lovely, and the owners could not have been more welcoming. We were four adults and four boys under 12. The lovely garden was great for the boys to kick a ball around and the house was large enough to allow plenty of space for everybody when cooped up inside on the couple of rainy days during our week long stay. Easy access to the lovely village of Roundstone, the magnificent Sky Road and, of course, all the great pubs and restaurants in Clifden makes this a fantastic holiday home.”- James July 2018
“Great location, great house! My family had a wonderful stay. Joan and Cathal have done an excellent job with the house and it was a great place to call home for a week. It is also in a perfect location. We loved the walk into town each day.”- Renee July 2018
“A beautiful house – fully recommended. Dooneen is a fabulous rental home. It is spotlessly clean and provides all the comforts of home. It is akin to staying in someone’s home (which it is) as opposed to staying in a holiday rental. Every aspect of the house has been well designed and there is plenty of space to relax and unwind. The facilities are outstanding and the quality of the furnishings is first class. The views of Clifden and the surrounding countryside are wonderful.”- Pat September 2017
“Holiday break, and we even got the sun, which always helps, and some of there home cooking, thanks. Joan and Cathal , were more than helpful and there house was beautiful and what views over Clifden”- Billy July 2017
“Family Stay in Clifden. Lovely property spacious and great location, very near to town and to all the amenities. Great perk to have WiFi and such a lovely house to spend time in.”- Lisa July 2016
“Loved the home. Home from home. We live in a really nice home. When we want to stay away we need a similar level of comfort, and we found it at Dooneen. Our hosts were lovely. The views and the beaches are beautiful.”- Harvey June 2015
Absolutely Brilliant home
Spent a week in Dooneen house. My wife & I, daughter & son-in-law and two sets of teenagers. This house has it all and the best part are the landlords.”- Kenneth Aug 2014
“The best break we have had in a long time. Just the place to get away from it all whatever the weather. Very convenient access to Clifden town. The house itself is finished to perfection. The owners of the house are extremely warm and accommodating and should be proud. Absolutely no complaints-just what the doctor ordered. We will definitely be back!”- Keith January 2013
“We really enjoyed our stay in Dooneen – it is a fantastic property and finished to a very high spec. We will definitely be returning!”-Jean Aug 2013
“If you are considering a trip through Ireland’s beautiful Connemara area, consider this house to be your accommodation. It is not only pristine in its cleanliness, comfort and convenient location, it is a vacation in itself.
Close to Clifden town centre. It is a welcoming, modern, comfortable house with all of the facilities that make a holiday enjoyable and relaxing. It is located in a beautiful area and the views from the house are lovely.”- O’Brian – Mar 2013
