Beautiful, comfortable holiday home in Clifden.”

“We, a group of 7 adults, had a wonderful stay in Capolla House. Spacious, comfortable holiday home within walking distance of Clifden. We were warmly welcomed by the owners (with delicious scones). Cosy kitchen diner, well equipped and spotless. 5 bedrooms, 4 of which ensuite and 1 with private bathroom. Lovely lounge and sunroom. One of the best holiday homes we ever stayed in. Contact with Connemara Lettings was very pleasant. Good information on house and local area.”-Harry October 2018

“Wonderful holiday in Connemara. The house was perfect for our group of nine. It had everything we needed and it was a short walk into town. Our hosts couldn’t have been nicer. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Clifden.”- Patti August 2018

An excellent place to stay.”

“From the moment we arrived and received the warmest of welcomes from Albert and Maureen we knew we’d made the right choice. They live next door and were never intrusive but always had time for a chat if you saw them and our 3 year old loved their dog. The house was immaculately clean and kitchen stocked with everything you’d need with everything matching in large quantities (we think the house had been run as a B&B in the past). Plenty of space and the 4 main bedrooms are separate from the 5th one (that has the double and two single beds) if you are in a party wanting space from each other it’s perfect! The house is in a good location, overlooking woodland out front. A leisurely 15 to 20 minute stroll and you’re in Clifden town centre. Clifden is a really nice town with some good restaurants and pubs and is great for sightseeing the area. Aldi and Lidl are a 5 minute walk/2 minute drive away. Any downsides? No Sky TV, just local channels (we weren’t bothered at all by this) and you pay extra for the electric and gas you use (again not bothered just factor this in). We only booked this house 3 days before travelling as we were let down by the original accommodation that we’d booked but as it turned out, it was a much better choice. We were really sad to leave this house and would definitely go back.”- Jason July 2018

“Très grand et bien placé. Accueil très chaleureux. Très grande maison, bien équipé, chaque chambre a sa salle d’eau et ses toilettes. A 10 petites minutes à pieds du centre de Clifden. Bon équipement en cuisine”-Goery May 2018

Perfect location for our stay! Capolla House was our first choice for the second year in a row for a group of cyclists visiting Clifden for the Tour de Connemara 2018. Fantastic location within a short distanced of the town. Large, well maintained house which easily slept our large group, with plenty of parking and a lovely friendly welcome to boot. Already looking forward to 2019!”-Michael May 2018

“We were a group of 8 adults and we agreed Capolla House was the best we have stayed in in Ireland so far. Maureen and her husband gave us the warmest welcome (many thanks for the goodies) and couldn’t do enough for us. They even provided us with a filter coffee machine. The house is so spacious that we didn’t feel at all cramped, has all mod cons, kitchen utensils perfect (saucepans big enough for a large group) . Lidl and Aldi are just round the corner, pubs and restaurants in the town centre just a short dander away and we also had the good luck to be there for the Clifden Arts Festival. We will definitely be back!! ” Friedhelm September 2017

“Four of us stayed in Capella House in Clifden. We were on a painting master class for two weeks. It was a great experience staying here. The house could have easily accommodated many more. It has an amazingly well equipped kitchen. And so much room to relax in, both in good & bad weather. The owners are most welcoming, helpful and discreet.” Deirdre July 2017

“I stayed with a group at Capolla House, and found the house perfect for a get together. I did some baking and entertaining, the kitchen has everything you need (and a spotless oven), and the dining room is great for a group. The house is spotless, and overall very comfortable. It is a little walk from the town centre, which is a small negative if its very rainy.” Patsy June 2017

“I could only say positive things about our short stay at Capolla House in Clifden. 8 adults on a weekend break for a cycling event and everybody gave me 10 out of 10 for finding this house! So much room, good parking and within a short walking distance of town. The owners and Yvonne from Connemara Lettings could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.” May 2017

“Perfect all round, a great stay, house was spacious and clean. Nice touch leaving biscuits, tea bags and milk on arrival.” Donald October 2016

“Very nice landlady and landlord. We very much appreciated the warm welcome with freshly made scones. The house suited us perfect as there were many bedrooms and we were a party of 7 friends” Strand September 2016

“My brother, my sister, myself and our families along with our parents stayed at Capolla House for a week so we had 8 Adults and 4 children. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom and we still had loads of living space to spread out and do the different things we wanted to do – play area, dining room, sitting room and large kitchen with more dining space. The kitchen was really great and had everything you could need so we were able to eat in and do a couple of dinners for the entire family very comfortably. And like the entire house it was absolutely spotless and had plenty of towels, linen and pillows too. We very much enjoyed our stay at Capolla House and would highly recommend it.” Cummins August 2017

“Very clean property & large communal areas. Great for a large group/ family/ gathering of friends. Really helpful owners – on hand if there’s anything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering. Property is only a few minutes drive from Clifden or about 15 minute walk. Lovely view of woods from property in a quiet, tucked away location. We enjoyed our stay very much.” Sinead August 2016

“Very welcoming landlord and landlady, comfortable and very spacious house. Clifden is s a lovely town to be easily explored by foot, very friendly people who great you everywhere in the street. 25 min drive to Kylemore castle or the smokehouse or Roundstone. We had a relaxing week and despite the showery week a fantastic BBQ, joined cooking, playing games and many walks. Thank you.” W August 2015

“Capolla House is a large cottage ideally located; it is close to the village of Clifden (within walking distance) but far enough away that you do not feel crowded. It overlooks a lovely green, wooded area. The cottage is well maintained, very comfortable, and well equipped. We stayed for one month, during which time we had no issues or concerns with the cottage. The owners are nearby and were very welcoming and helpful.   Connemara Lettings provided excellent customer service before, during, and after our stay. Our holiday was excellent!” Noelle June 2015

“We had a brill weekend in Capolla House. It was perfect for our 2 families. Very close to town but away from the hustle and bustle of Clifden. We had all the space we needed and comforts we needed. Pity we didn’t have the weather. Will defo be back next year for the Tour de Connemara & stay at Capolla House. Thanks Yvonne & family.” Elaine June 2015
