Connemara Holidays on a Budget
Here at Connemara Lettings, we are firm believers that holidays should not have to bankrupt you! So we have compiled our little list of how to make your holiday to Connemara not only enjoyable, but stress free.
1. Cheap Flights
Coming from outside Ireland? Budget friendly Ryan Air and Aer Lingus have great price busting sales throughout the year. Sign up to their newsletters to keep up to date on their latest deals and offers.
2. Holiday home Vs. Hotel
It goes without saying, renting a holiday home in Connemara is a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel and the other pluses include privacy, your own space and an area where you can prepare and cook your own food, watch some DVDS, cuddle in front of the fire! We believe that a holiday rental should feel like a home away from home and that is what we offer
3. Book your holiday home!
With 43 (and counting!) holiday homes on our books and prices starting at €350 per week, we have beautiful houses to suit ALL budgets! Some of our properties also offer low occupancy rates, short break deals and if you book 2 weeks, you get the second week half price!
4. Easy Pay Option!
Avail of our Easy Pay Option plan! Pay a 20% deposit when booking and pay the rest of when you like and how you like!! Now there is no excuse not to book your Connemara holiday today!
5. Stocking up your fridge
In Clifden town alone there is a Supervalu, Aldi & Lidls as well as excellent local butchers, bakers (but no candle stick makers), a fish monger and a fruit and vegetable shop so not only have you great choice to shop around for the best value, you also have access to fresh, local produce!
6. Dining out
Connemara holidays would not be complete without sampling some of the local cuisine. Many of the local eateries offer early bird menus at exceptional value, usually priced at €25 for a 3 course meal. It must be noted for all the families out there; Mannion’s Bar in Clifden do an excellent deal every Friday, Saturday and Sunday – Kids Eat Free! For every adult meal, you get one kids meal FREE! Don’t feel like dining out, then stay in by the fire with a bottle of wine and grab a delicious Take Away pizza from Guys! Yummy!
7. Things to do
There are plenty of things to do in Connemara that are free or require very little money – A hike in the National Park, a swim in Dogs Bay…. Worth noting is “What’s On” – A Connemara based magazine will be your guide to what is happening in the area with regards music, festivals, events etc. and it often includes coupons for various activities in the area such as horse riding!

I don’t think this point needs any further information do you?….Connemara Holidays are all about relaxation!
