Traidphicnic is a weekend event with concerts by traditional music artists along with art and cultural workshops with the backdrop of the beautiful Connemara landscape. Indulge in delicious local cuisine or just sit back and soak up the wonderful music. Traidphicnic has something for everyone and is very much a family event. Based near to Ceardlann, Spiddal Craft and Design Studios, you can explore the shops, sneek a peek at the crafters at work, and nip to the beach or into the seaside village of An Spidéál and make your own discoveries.

Conamara Summer School is a week long exploration of the magical island of Inishbofin, off the coast of Conamara. A multidisciplinary team of poets, writers, musicians and scientists including botanists, zoologists and marine biologists explore the human and natural history of the island which includes field trips, lectures, workshops and concerts. This school makes a much appreciated and significant contribution to the economy of the island. This summer school is Ireland’s longest running environmental/culture summer school established in 1984 and is approved by the Dept Education and Science for ongoing and further education for teachers but is open to the public also.
The Summer School is approved by the Dept. of Education & Science as inservice for teachers.

Feichín and Michael have been playing together at Lowry’s Bar for many year on Monday nights, they alway gather lots of Local and tourists alike, and this evening alway promises lots of banter and slagging with the locals, Feichin plays guitar and sings lots of Traditional Irish Ballads while Michael accompanies him on the Banjo, and if you get him to sing which is rare your in for a treat.
Clifden Weekly LOTTO Draw is run by Clifden Chamber of Commerce to raise funds for local Community Amenities & Tourism Development.
Tickets are €2, available to purchase at various business outlets around Clifden and Local Areas.
TWO attendance prizes will receive €50 every week.
